The hotel booking is managed online via Bucher Travel, Inc. as intermediary. Booking will be accepted as long as the requested services are available. Booking will be considered as confirmed only after receiving the confirmation email. With the confirmation, the customer has accepted the general conditions listed below, mainly those concerning the price, cancellation and payment conditions.
Pricing and booking guarantee:
All mentioned rates are in Swiss Francs (CHF) net including service, taxes and 3.8% VAT. The customer will pay all services at the hotel. However, upon booking, a credit card (valid at the arrival date) is requested to guarantee the reservation. Bucher Travel, Inc. will not accept bookings with invalid credit card information.
Early booking discount:
All hotel bookings made by April 12, 2017 and pre-paid by credit card via Bucher Travel will get a early booking discount of 5% on the room rate excl. taxes. The participant may choose this option in the booking / registration form. Pre-paid hotel bookings are non-refundable.
Cancellations and changes (by customer):
Confirmed bookings may be cancelled or changed free of charge until June 02, 2017, 12:00 Noon. For all changes and cancellations after that date, the costs of minimum one night will be invoiced or charged on the customer’s credit card. All changes and cancellations must be communicated in writing by email (booking@buchertravel.ch). The hotels do not accept direct cancellations.
Cancellations and changes (by Bucher Travel, Inc.):
In the unlikely event of unforeseen changes of a booking by Bucher Travel, Inc., Bucher Travel, Inc. shall seek to ensure an alternative option of equal value. If a booking has to be cancelled due to Force Majeure, safety concerns on the part of Bucher Travel, Inc., official measures or restrictions, strikes or unsafe weather and outdoor conditions, Bucher Travel, Inc. is entitled to cancel the booking at short notice.
Responsibility:
Please be aware that hotels undergo renovations from time to time. Hotels take all possible steps to limit disruption to their guests. Bucher Travel, Inc. will not entertain complaints or requests for refunds if a hotel or venue is carrying out renovations whilst a customer is resident. If Bucher Travel, Inc. is specifically advised of renovation work, dates may be provided, but it is important that these are subject to change and Bucher Travel, Inc. is not always notified.
Liability:
Bucher Travel, Inc. accordingly accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, injury, accidents, delay, or any other irregularity howsoever arising. Bucher Travel, Inc. makes every effort to ensure that all the arrangements will be carried out as specified in the most efficient and effective way possible. However, Bucher Travel, Inc. does not have direct control over the provision of services by suppliers and, whilst they are in all cases selected with the utmost care, Bucher Travel, Inc. does not accept liability for error and omissions of such suppliers.
Bucher Travel, Inc. as intermediary is only responsible for the sale of hotel accommodation and the technical transmission of the reservation between the customer and the hotels. The email journal proves as confirmation of a transmission.
Court of jurisdiction
The court of jurisdiction is Lucerne, Switzerland.
