Morning Programme for Partners and Delegates who are NOT participating in the Board/ Liaison Committee Meeting: City Walking Tour  
You will learn important, humorous and interesting facts about Lucerne's history, churches, bridges, narrow streets, towers, squares and, of course, Lucerne's trademark - the Chapel Bridge with Water Tower. During your sightseeing you will be shown the most important sights such as:
- Musegg Wall
- Town Hall
- Lion Monument
- KKL (Concert and Congress Hall)

Partner Excursion: Glass Factory Hergiswil  
The glassworks at Hergiswil has existed since 1817. The tour starts in the permanent exhibition of the history of glass and glassworks. This labyrinth of scenes leads you through the ups and downs of the 180 years history of the glass factory and directly to the incandescent glass furnace. With a good view to the glass makers' platform, you can observe the craftsmen as they go about their rhythmical work and discover for yourself how glass is formed, blown and cast from the glowing mass.

Before entering the classical Panorama Hall at Hotel Seeburg, you'll be taken back in time and experience the Belle Epoque - the shining era and the beginning of Swiss Tourism. The reception cruise on the historical paddle steam boat takes you from one side of the lake to the other. When arriving at the Seeburg, enjoy a beautiful ball night with delicious food and great entertainment.

Excursion to Mount Rigi for all Delegates and Partners
Mount Rigi  
Mount Rigi - "The Queen of the Mountains" – so much loved by famous author Mark Twain! You start out from Lucerne by private coach. During the drive, many interesting sights pass by ashore. In Vitznau you take the cogwheel train to climb Mount Rigi, using the oldest mountain railway track in Europe. Once arrived on the top of the mountain, just enjoy the breathtaking views and explore some of the footpaths taking you from one viewing spot to the other.

10:45am     Arrival in Vitznau and depart to Mount Rigi by Cogwheel Train
11:15am     Reach the peak at Rigi Kulm

Please wear good shoes and appropriate clothing. It might be a few degrees colder than in Lucerne.
